Another cold day yup.

I just thought I would get on here and let you know some things Mr. blog.
Mary and I just went over to Tamara's and picked up the kids Ha. Ha. these kids I speak of are 37 and 41 so big kids right.
This would go so much faster if I didn't make so many mistakes and it must make for slow reading for you so I do apologize for that but live with it k.
As soon as we got in the door I went right down and put wood in the fire and it is warming up in here now so I don't here too much groaning for the aforementioned kids about it being too cold it is either because they are warm or that they have finally realized that there wasn't anyone listening to them.
It is Sunday so today being a day if rest and me being so willing to rest that is precisely what I will do as tomorrow will come soon enough.
The kids are having some chili now as they didn't have anything to eat over at Tamara's this morning.
I am not sure what the rest of the day will hold for us I do know that Tavia will be checking her emails for news from Rich.
I do hear the odd groan now and again from the cold but it is warm in here

Cold today and windy

Boy oh boy it is very cold today so why are they lying to us about this global warming and all that stuff that when it is 20 below and you are freezing to death and trying ti keep warm.
It has been putting a little snow down so Spencer Baker and I put the sleds together and hooked the little grey mares to them and went back through the woods where the mud puddles were very deep because as you may of not know it has hardly stopped raining since June so there really is alot of wet around so brought a little wood up to the house and that is still on the sleds as I am writing this.
I soon have to go out and get the barn cleaned up so to bring the horses in for there supper and the night.
I don't have any pics to put in here but maybe next time I will see what I can do K.

Off to the horse pull.

On saturday I went to a horse pull well maybe I should start at the beginning which is always a good place to start right.

One day last week my friend asked if I would drive his horses at his horse pull and now what do you suppose my answer was.

Well I have a young friend that wanted to take the mares that he is keeping here to the horse so saturday we loaded them into the trailer and off we went.

This pic is of Spencer Baker with the mares at the horse pull now he is Murray Baker's son if you know who that is good.

He said that he had a good time so that is what made it fun for me K.

This pic is of me driving my friend's horses Scott and Victor.

By the way we won the horse pull because I thought you might like to know see that is why I told you that not because I wanted to brag or any thing see.

I included this pic because last week end these people showed up and waited til I went and got Mazie and we went for a ride down through the woods and back.

Thats me in the lead just going out of the picture. You will notice that I do have a helmet on so trying to be safe.

Bin awhile.

Hi

It has been awhile since I was on here so just so you don't start to think that I have died or anything worse I thought I should put something on here k.

I thought maybe a pic or something like that.

Mary wanted crown moulding around the ceiling of the dining room so we went and bought some which was the easy part by far.

This is one of the pics that Mary took as I endeavoured to put some of this very pernickety stuff up.

I was trying to figure how many angles there is to get this stuff cut to fit in the corner of the ceiling and I sort of think that a minimun of 4 angles so I made a template and that helped alot so after I got it to fit it was easier to follow the template hope I am not boring you to tears.

This is the last peice that I am painting and none too soon now let me tell ya.

I am gettin the last coat of paint on here and I am finished.

My how time flies

I can't believe that it has been since sunday that I was on here and so I guess I must tell you something about what is going on here.

You must be dying to find out so hold on to your hats and here goes.

Well the problem with that theory is that I can't remember any of the things I was going to tell you.

I have been hooking horses and Mostly Dancer as he is having a problem with the work thing and is causing problems all the way around.

I will endeavour to put a pic on here for you hope you have the time to wait for it to load onto the blog ha ha.

This is him on Tuesday I think as I didn't hook any horses on wednesday as it was rememberance day and we always go down to the vocational school for the service there.

He was doing pretty good there and also yesterday but today he was a bit unpredictable but we managed to keek him in the straight and narrow as they say.

After I took him off the little scoot I drove him around like this for awhile and instilled some educartion int him little pumpkin after this I put him the shafts of the two wheeled cart and give him a little of that.

Now this is Kate on the same day she is 3 and she has already graduated to the cart and Dancer is 4 and still having issues with just about every thing that I try with him.

Happenings

Dear blog.

I have some things to tell you and I am desrerate to remember them before I get too far in this thing.

I had to stop just now to take some pictures off the camera so that I could put them on here for you to see which I am totally confident you are so inspired when you see them.

This is Q our cat well I must correct myself it is our daughter Michelle's cat and I had been down to put wood in the fire and was going by to the bath room to wash my hands "I do that " and saw him so I said to Mary just go see his position so she took picture and there it is.

This is what we were eating meat balls baked potatoes and you see on the side is the squash in the bowl Mary bakes the squash right in the skin with brown sugar and butter and when ever I eat squash I think of Michelle cuz she loves squash.

I have to tell you this story.

Yesterday which was saturday there was a farm auction in Lawrencetown and at the auction was a 14 year old stallion there now a number of years ago I bought what would be his uncle and I paid 5000 for him this stallion was just as good and he sold for 350 dollars.

On the way home I had to go by the Fire hall and I saw what I thought was Joe Steele so I stopped and backed up and went in and it was him so here is a pic.

So we had a good time finding out how things are going with each other now.

He was getting ready for a benefit for someone that was to happen that night so I went down and had a listen to it for the evening and had some time to talk to him then also.

Now here is a picture that I have been wanting to put on here for a day or so Mary took this of me coming across the drive way the other day with this load of wood on the wheel barrow this is some of the slab wood that I get from the saw mill and I saw it up in the barn and bring it over to the house and use it in the wood furnace for heat.

Saturday morning.

It is saturday morning and there are a lot of things that I want to do today.

There is an auction in Lawrencetown that I want to go to and I have been building stalls in the barn so I am quite sure that I can get that finished today so that is first on the agenda.

The auction starts at 11 so that will come too soon as time does seem to disappear quickly around here as they say time flyies when you are having fun ha ha.

This auction that I am talking about is farm stuff and the junk is all sold at 11 then the animals are sold at 1 and I don't usually look too strong at the animals because that way I don't buy any right.

I was looking for a pic to put on here so I found this one ,this is King from the barn and you should have seen him when he first came.

He was a sorry sight to see his hair was matted and I pulled large clumps of fur out of him and when I first saw him I couldn't get near him all I saw of him was his tail going around the corner of the barn but now he crawls uo in my lap and allows me to pat him.

I called him King because he has a large main around his neck.

I am sure you are bored to tears but you see this all started with me looking for a picture to put on here remember.

Isn't this a lovely picture of me but you see my excuse is that I was having a hard time holding the camera so you know the 'that's my story' line.

Maybe I had better get off here before the authorities come and drag me away kicking and screaming.
